Brisk Racing manufactures a surface fire spark plug that is designed to maximize power by unshrouding the spark kernel and lengthening the spark by using surface fire technology. In addition to this, the surface fire design means no more plug indexing!
This product is a set of eight (8) spark plugs, part number GOR15LGS, for any LS engine. This is what we have run for the past five years in the Borg Motorsports Corvette. It is slightly colder than stock to facilitate use in racing applications.
In our 2012 testing, we found these Brisk plugs made 7.0 rwhp and 9.2 rwtq on an LS1 that was stock except for a cat-back system. This is based on back to back testing on a Dynojet with new Brisk plugs and new competitor plugs (that are VERY popular in the Corvette community). As always your results may vary, but these plugs are very popular with several large Ford engine tuners and are OE on several Lamborghini models. You won't find a better horsepower per dollar mod on the market!
