OS Giken clutches are made to very tight tolerances and that is the reason why we offer separately forged billet center alignment tools. A forged metal tool eliminates the slack commonly found in plastic center alignment tools. These tools imitate the transmission input shaft to provide a tight fitment to the pilot bushing/bearing to prevent sag which is often found when installing multi-plate clutches. This procedure is very important as misaligned clutch plates can lead to difficulty during installation of the transmission. Transmission hangup can create leverage on the clutch plates, which in turn leads to warped discs and drivetrain damage.
